PROBA-2 X-CAM Anniversary: One year in Orbit

PROBA-2 Spacecraft from ESA was launched one year ago, on 2 November 2009 from Plesetsk Cosmodrome (Russia) and includes X-CAM, an imaging instrument developed by Micro-cameras & Space Exploration SA.

X-CAM has successfully gone though commissioning and operation during the last year in orbit. The in-orbit achievements were as expected and validation of all the different modes of operation and commands were performed successfully.

The image below was taken by Proba2/X-CAM for its one-year anniversary, on 3 November 2010. The image was obtained over Antarctica.
